The Grade 8 Mobile Girls Basketball Team was the overwhelming favorite to win the inaugural Most Spirited Team Award at the Brother Rice Junior High Winter Snowjam, held over the last two weeks of March. Sixty-four percent of the 8,300 votes cast went to the Mobile Monarchs. Nine teams competed in the tourney.
