The Goulds Lions Club is continuing to do good for the community. In December, the group donated $3,000 to St. Kevin’s Junior High School, $2,000 to St. Kevin’s Parish food bank, and $1,000 to the 1st Goulds Scouts. Donations are largely made possible by proceeds from the group’s Drive-in Bingo. The club has recently undertaken a new project, a 50/50 fundraiser held in conjunction with Bidgood’s Supermarket. In January, the Lions Club and Bidgood’s donated $229 to the food bank. Earlier this week, the pair donated $401 to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation. Each dollar raised for the foundation is the equivalent of one breakfast. 50/50 tickets can be purchased at Bidgood’s for $2.
